A CELEBRATION ACROSS THE USA

Cross the USA in story as storyteller Jo Ho spins folktales from every region of our great country. With stops in the Northeast, Southeast, Gulf States, Midwest, Rocky Mountain, and Pacific Coast, Jo shares stories that represent each region at its best! Funny and interesting tales depicting a colorful portrait of our nation's character that the entire family will enjoy hearing.

CHINESE NEW YEAR!

Imagine yourself transported back in time to China as centuries-old traditions are told through story. It’s time to ring in "The Year of the Dragon." In ancient China the Dragon represents an emperor’s power.  Today the celestial Dragon symbolizes success and happiness.  Jo is a “Dragon” and she looks forward to telling tales of good fortune and luck to all in this celebration that is over 5000 years old.  A fun and festive way to say goodbye to winter and to welcome the coming of spring! 


GROUND HOGS DAY (Feb. 2)

Get an up front and personal view of "the spring thing" in hilarious stories of the ground hog and his woodsy companions. Whether he sees his shadow or not, join storyteller Jo Ho as she shares some true and not so true ground hog tales. It's a fun winter getaway with lots of audience participation and role playing.


OH MY DARLIN', VALENTINE!

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with some LOVE stories presented by storyteller Jo Ho. It's some kissin' and huggin' in Jo's not too mushy tales of romance and some big laughs as listeners will be challenged to outwit, out-yell, and out-wrestle a most unusual princess in search of a suitor!

TOP OF THE MORNIN'

If you have a fondness for foolery or delight in good fortune, then join storyteller Jo Ho for a charmin' Irish story time. It's a St. Patrick's Day celebration so throw on a bit of green and come listen to some Irish folklore and funny tales told in dialect. Don't let her name fool you-Jo's 1/8 Irish and has been sharin' her Irish tales for 20 years now. Appropriate for all Leprechauns!


HOPPING DOWN THE BUNNY TRAIL

Hop right into Easter and spring with tales and tails of famous rabbits. Storyteller, Jo Ho, presents some hip hop stories of Brer Rabbit and friends, Peter Rabbit, and the ever popular Easter bunny. Program is suitable for all EARS.


MY WORLD, YOUR WORLD

Jo Ho, storyteller, tells enchanting tales from the rain forest and other precious parts of the earth, stirring listeners to a greater awareness of the beauty and delicacy of our world. Children will have the opportunity to role play in Jo's original story "The Teardrop Forest" and other stories in the program.


SIZZLING SUMMER BEACH PARTY

Set sail for an imaginative journey to the Hawaiian Islands with storyteller Jo Ho, as she presents tropical folklore and legends. Cruise along the island chain with stops in Maui, Kauai, the big island and more. Jo shares her "hang loose" stories personally collected while living in Hawaii. So why do the Hawaiian's eat poi rather than potatoes? And what are menehunes? Come and listen and discover paradise through story. You'll even learn to hokey pokey, Hawaiian style!!



WILD TALES

Roar with the lions, swing with the monkeys, slither with the snakes, and pounce with the leopards in a storytelling safari. Storyteller Jo Ho presents an upbeat rhythmic jungle romp with clever stories about our "jungle friends." Each story teaches a valuable lesson and has lots of audience participation.

HARVESTFEST

If you'd like an alternative to the traditional spooky tales, this storytelling program is for you. "Harvestfest" is a collection of old country yarns that will tickle your funny bone. "Too much salt in the puddin'" and "The Great Big Enormous Pumpkin" are just a few.

BONE RATTLERS

Rap, rap, rap. Cr--ree-eeak. GOTCHA! Listeners of all ages, beware, but be ready for some eerie stories and scary fun. Jo Ho, storyteller, serves up ghoulish tales, with delightfully spooky characters and uninvited ghosts. A perfect way to add to you Halloween fun.


THANKSGIVING

"I Like My Turkey Fried, Thank You!" and other tasty tales presented by storyteller, Jo Ho in celebration of Thanksgiving. Some silly stories and some heartfelt ones too. Stories of family, friends, and community from yesterday and today. And a very special story about a TURKEY. There's lots of participation for listeners and Jo looks forward to teaching you the "turkey bop."

Celebrate the season of light with stories! Festive stories from around the world guaranteed to brighten your holiday season. Storyteller Jo Ho tells tales from different countries, sharing beautiful Christmas traditions from each country. Legends of jolly St. Nick and other merry characters round out this holiday program for the entire family.
