My
favorite part was how you made the story
like it was happening right then and there.
Chase, age 11
This was the greatest day of my life. It
was really really funny.

From the Derby Reporter, by Karen Faley:
A good storyteller can seduce the most
reluctant listener. That’s just what Jo Ho
the storyteller was able to do one afternoon
last week at Tanglewood Elementary. Even
the sophisticated preteen boys sitting way
in the back were reduced to giggles and in
the end, Jo Ho even got them to participate
in the stories. And throughout the stories,
she gave children in the audience hand
motions they could do to participate in the
story and even called children from the
audience up in front of the crowd to act out
the stories with her. Jo has appeared
before in Derby, said Carri Fry, Derby
Public Library children’s services
coordinator. “She’s amazing,” she said.
“She’s a very good storyteller.”
Thank you so much for coming to Mill Creek!
You were absolutely wonderful. You did
an excellent job holding their attention and
involving all the kids. The children
were captivated and loved their time with
you.
